Joanna graduated from Cal State University Long Beach with a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. Joanna became a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist following her internship at Oakwood University. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the California Dietetics Association.

Clinical Expertise:

Joanna has counseled patients in clinical and outpatient settings on topics including Diabetes, Weight Management, Prenatal and Maternal Nutrition, Cardiovascular Disease, Hyperlipidemia, Digestive Disorders, Thyroid Disorders, Pediatrics, Food Allergies and a variety of Specialized diets.

Her goal is to utilize research-based medical nutrition therapy guidelines to individually analyze each patient’s food preferences and dietary needs and educate patients on how to use nutrition to control their disease symptoms and improve their quality of life.

Joanna encourages wellness and intuitive balanced eating to help individuals build the necessary dietary and lifestyle habits to make food a wholesome role in life.
