For patients diagnosed with pyloric stenosis, gastroparesis or peptic ulcer disease, a surgical procedure called pyloroplasty is needed to treat their condition.

How it Works

The pylorus is a valve between the stomach and the small intestine that opens and closes to allow food to pass through. Sometimes this valve does not open properly making it difficult for food to move through.

A pyloroplasty is a surgical procedure that widens the pylorus allowing for food to be digested more easily.
