Personalized Breath Tests

Overview

To diagnose Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), we use breath tests to measure hydrogen and methane released from the body after a patient drinks a glucose mixture. By measuring these gasses, we can identify how well your body is processing sugar and if there is too much bacteria in your small intestine.

First on West Coast to Offer Latest Breath Test Technology

We are the first center on the West Coast to offer FoodMarble technology for our patients. The FoodMarble AIRE 2 is a device that connects to your smart phone and allows you to track breath readings in real time. Here’s how it works.

  1. Log your food – Track what you eat to understand how different foods impact your digestion.
  2. Take breath tests – After you eat, the app asks you to take breath tests. The results help you track your digestion in real time.
  3. Monitor and improve your symptoms – See how food, sleep and stress are affecting your gut and make changes.
