David Millett, M.D., Ph.D., named program director of Hoag Epilepsy Program
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. – June 26, 2014 – Hoag is thrilled to welcome Dr. David Millett as the new director of the Epilepsy Program beginning July 1. An accomplished neurologist who specializes in epileptology, Dr. Millett brings his extensive experience in building the epilepsy program at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center and LAC-USC, and his nationally-recognized expertise to Hoag to advance the care of the one in 37 people with seizures in our community. He will advance diagnostic services such as in-patient video-EEG monitoring, intracranial video-EEG monitoring, neuroimaging, and neurocognitive evaluations, and focus current treatment options to include minimally invasive epilepsy surgery and dietary therapy for epilepsy. As program director of the Hoag Epilepsy Program, Dr. David Millett will work to diagnose and treat types of epilepsy and other paroxysmal disorders of the brain and nervous system.

- Board Certified, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Medical degree from Pritzker School of Medicine, University of Chicago
- Fellowship in electroencephalography (EEG)/epilepsy at the University of California, Los Angeles
- Neurology residency at University of California, Los Angeles
- Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Southern California
- Co-founder of the Los Angeles Epilepsy Society
- Recipient of the Productivity and Quality Special Merit Award from the County of Los Angeles
