Michael Ricks Named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., July 20, 2015 — Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian today announced Michael Ricks as executive vice president and chief operating officer. In his new role, Ricks assumes responsibility for day-to-day operations at Hoag’s Newport Beach and Irvine hospital campuses as well as the Hoag Health Centers, located in Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Irvine, Costa Mesa and Aliso Viejo.

Ricks joins Hoag having served most recently as a COO and CEO within the Dignity Health system. Prior to that, he worked in various leadership and administrative capacities with Sentara Healthcare on the East Coast. With more than 18 years of leadership experience in health care, Ricks is recognized for his leadership in physician and employee engagement, performance improvement, business development growth, and his passion for enhancing patient experience.
