Program Summary
In a supportive environment, participants learn the life skills necessary to navigate the transition from adolescence to adulthood. Some of those skills include emotional regulation and distress tolerance, learning and applying coping strategies to their day to day lives and improving their sense of self.
Program details:
- Young adults 18-26 years old
- 8-week outpatient program; skills-based curriculum
- Small group setting (8 max.)
- 3 days a week for 3 hours from 10:30am to 1:30pm, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
Just like physical health, the sooner a mental health or emotional concern is identified and addressed, the better the outcome.
Concerns may include:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- ADHD
- Mood dysregulation
- Lack of confidence or social skills
- History of Self-injurious behaviors
- Grief and loss
- Trauma
- OCD
- PTSD
- Other symptoms relating to a mental health issue
In addition, medication compliance is a must to admit to the program, refusal of medication is grounds for discharge or will not be admitted.
