Dave Cook, LMFT

David Cook is a licensed marriage and family therapist with a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University and an undergraduate degree in psychology from California State University, Long Beach. Since 2017, he has been dedicated to working with adolescents and their families at the Hoag ASPIRE program, facilitating groups to teach coping skills for mental health, presenting to the community, and utilizing a multidisciplinary approach when coordinating care. He is well versed in dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and group facilitation.

David brings a wealth of experience from the field of chemical dependency, having worked extensively with adults and adolescents across various levels of care. He has collaborated with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and diversion programs to deliver effective counseling and early interventions to juvenile offenders. In addition, David has successfully provided treatment to families, adults, and adolescents in a private practice setting.

Currently, as the clinical manager of both the ASPIRE and Young Adult Programs, he ensures that the programs provide excellent care to clients and their families and continues to connect with the larger communities to identify trends in mental health.
