Dr. Chance earned her medical degree from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
She completed er neurology residency at the University of Ottawa in Ontario,
Canada. She remains on the
leading edge of the management of movement disorders by attending many
national and nternational conferences.
The primary focus of Dr. Chance’s practice is caring for patients
with Parkinson’s disease nd other movement disorders. She is committed
to providing continuity of care and takes ride in building long-term relationships
with her patients and their caregivers. As a boardcertified neurologist,
she feels strongly that the care of those with movement disorders is omplex
and best carried out by physicians with specialized education and expertise
in this area.
Since joining Hoag Hospital, Dr. Chance has served in many leadership
roles including chair of the Rehabilitation Services Committee, chair
of Neurology and currently as program advisor to the Hoag Parkinson’s
and Movement Disorders program.
Dr. Chance is a diplomate on the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada. She is also
a member in the American Academy of Neurology, the Movement Disorder Society
and the Canadian Association of Neuroscience.
