Paiyuam Asnaashari, DO

Sports was instilled in Dr. Asnaashari from a young age starting with his parents sharing their love of sports and their encouragement for both he and his twin brother to pursue various sports throughout their childhood. The passion and enjoyment for sports continues today through Dr. Asnaashari’s work as a sports medicine physician. Dr. Asnaashari combines his interests in sports, human performance, nutrition and wellness into his practice where he treats both children and adults. He focuses on injury prevention and lifestyle modifications to address his patients’ needs with the goal of treating the root cause of their injury to ensure lifelong activity. In a field that is constantly evolving, Dr. Asnaashari has a strong desire to continue to learn and provide cutting-edge care to his patients. As he states, “What I love most about practicing sports medicine is meeting new people, helping them, serving as a resource and finding an individualized treatment plan that provides relief for them. I want my patients to thrive and get stronger and I am there for all aspects of their care.” Dr. Asnaashari provides a comprehensive spectrum of non-invasive sports medicine services which also includes ultrasound diagnostics, ultrasound guided injections, dry needling for musculoskeletal conditions and osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). Fluent in Farsi and Spanish, Dr. Asnaashari received his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences, attended University of California Davis Family & Community Medicine residency program and completed his sports medicine fellowship at Kaiser Fontana Medical Center. During his time away from the office, Dr. Asnaashari enjoys kite surfing, playing soccer, listening to music and playing the piano.
