Adam S. Kanter, M.D., is the associate executive medical director of the Pickup Family Neurosciences Institute at Hoag.

A respected researcher, inventor and surgeon, Dr. Kanter had been chief of spine surgery and tenured professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh’s Medical Center.

Timothy Lee, M.D., M.S., a specialty trained and highly skilled cardiothoracic surgeon, joined the Jeffrey M. Carlton Heart & Vascular Institute at Hoag after building a practice around personalized cardiac care in San Francisco.

Dr. Lee brings to Hoag extensive experience in minimally invasive surgeries, all arterial coronary artery bypass surgeries, the repair and replacement of heart valves, and clinical trial research. He is double-board certified in surgery and thoracic surgery.

Javier Longoria, M.D., Orange County’s only triple board-certified interventional pulmonologist has recently joined Hoag Family Cancer Institute. He works alongside a team of experts who specialize in oncology and thoracic surgery to provide highly skilled interventional pulmonary care management to cancer patients.

Dr. Longoria’s expertise in interventional approaches to thoracic care further expands Hoag Family Cancer Institute’s comprehensive cancer treatment options for patients.

Elizabeth R. Raskin, M.D., a renowned colorectal surgeon and sought-after lecturer, has joined Hoag as surgical director for the Margolis Family Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Program within the Digestive Health Institute.

With nearly 20 years of experience in state-of-the-art technologies and surgical techniques, Dr. Raskin’s patient-centric approach provides leading-edge, comprehensive and compassionate care to improve surgical outcomes and speed recovery.

Steven Q. Wang, M.D., has joined Hoag as the director of dermatologic oncology within the Hoag Family Cancer Institute. He is a renowned, board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, from Memorial Sloan- Kettering, and brings his expertise to the growing number of people in Orange County contending with skin cancer.
