More than 3,000 people attended the grand opening of Hoag’s new health center across from its Irvine hospital on Saturday, according to the company.
Hoag gave out 1,390 free flu shots as part of the coinciding health and wellness fair.
Designed to complement the adjacent hospital, the Hoag Health Center Irvine on Sand Canyon Avenue offers outpatient services in cancer care, neurosciences, women’s health, heart and vascular and orthopedics.
Sometimes, patients don’t even have to step into the hospital, which can be intimidating.
