Sheila Porter, MBA, FACHE

Sheila Porter is the Vice President of Group Practice Operations for Hoag Clinic. In this role, she is responsible for all practice operations within the Hoag Clinic including strategic planning, budgeting, quality, patient experience, performance improvement, and staff development.

Ms. Porter has been with Hoag since 2012 in a variety of leadership roles including Executive Director of Hoag Medical Group, Executive Director of Pickup Family Neurosciences Institute, and Director of the Sleep, Wound & Multispecialty Clinic. Achievements during her tenure include helping the team attain Level 4 Epilepsy designation with the NAEC and Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification; expanding Neuroscience services into the Irvine market; and assisting with the business plan development, design and build of the Fudge Family Acute Rehabilitation Unit.

She has more than 22 years of health care experience with a clinical background in Medical Imaging.

Prior to joining Hoag, she worked for Catholic Health Initiatives in Lexington, Kentucky.

Ms. Porter has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders/Speech Pathology from Marshall University and a Master of Business Administration with a Healthcare Administration concentration from Baker College. She is an alumnus of the Women’s Leadership Program at the Yale School of Management and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
