SolMar Recovery Residential Program
World-class Residential Treatment Program in Southern California
Patients with ongoing medical needs and / or living arrangements that are not conducive to safe and sober support may meet our criteria for continued stay in residential level of care. This level of care combines continuing medical and nursing care with treatment of the emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of their substance use disorder.
Set in a beautifully renovated building on Hoag’s Newport Beach campus, the 21-bed residential program – SolMar Recovery – is overseen by a multi-disciplinary clinical team, who will be on-hand at all hours of the day and night to ensure the highest level of evidence-based care for those struggling with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders.
This is the only program that is licensed as a residential treatment facility, feels and functions like a residential program, and is physically co-located with an acute care hospital. All of the safety, security, and quality of Orange County’s best hospital is available, in a place that feels like home.
SolMar Recovery’s residential services include:
- Individual and group counseling and therapy
- A multitude of complementary care including yoga, mind and body awareness and art therapy.
- Cognitive behavioral therapy
- 12-step meetings
- Equine therapy
- Licensed Therapists
Patient Safety Is Our Priority
At Hoag Addiction Treatment Centers, patient safety is our utmost concern. Many centers contract with local physicians to provide limited on-site consultation. At Hoag, we offer a higher standard of care. Our patients receive help from a dedicated team of physician specialists, clinicians, and nursing staff who are available on-site 24/7 to provide the highest level of safe, expert care.
The process of recovering from addiction to drugs, alcohol, and prescription drugs can involve serious or even life-threatening medical complications. That is why it is vitally important to continue to receive medically supervised care from a team of addiction medicine experts.
Multidisciplinary Teams Assigned to Each Individual
Each person is assigned his or her own personal treatment team, which includes a:
- Physician
- Clinical nurse
- Licensed therapist
- Counselors
- Equine therapist
- Psychiatrist
- Nurse practitioner
- Other specialists
This multidisciplinary team is responsible for assessing and working with each person to establish an individualized plan of care and post-treatment recommendations designed to support ongoing recovery. Hoag Addiction Treatment Centers Admissions Counseling staff will begin this personalized team approach prior to admission by discussing all levels of care available.
