NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., May 23, 2016 --- Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian recently received a Center of Excellence
in Robotic Surgery (COERS) accreditation from the Surgical Review Corporation.
When it comes to robotic-assisted surgery, Hoag was the first in Southern
California to employ the technology and has become one of the national
leaders in the field. The surgeons at Hoag perform the fifth highest volume of both
gynecologic procedures and total robotic cases annually in the country. Hoag’s program has two
da Vinci® Xi robots and two da Vinci
® Si robots on the Newport Beach campus with another Xi robot on the Irvine campus.
