The Leapfrog Group
has awarded Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian straight “A’s”
on the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Score for its hospitals in Newport Beach
and Irvine. Achieving the nation’s top honor for patient safety,
the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Score rates how well hospitals protect patients
from accidents, errors, injuries and infections.
This is the fifth year in a row for Hoag Hospital Newport Beach and the
fourth year in a row that Hoag Hospital Irvine has earned this designation.

The Leapfrog Hospital Survey collects and transparently reports hospital
performance, empowering purchasers to find the highest-value care and
giving consumers the lifesaving information they need to make informed
