The fact that Hoag was recently named the highest-ranked hospital in Orange
County by
U.S. News & World Report for the second consecutive year is reason enough to celebrate. But what’s
even more outstanding is the recognition for Hoag’s specialty programs,
placing them among the best in the nation.
As a community hospital, Hoag is ranked among some of the most prestigious
research institutions in the country – a reflection of Hoag’s
unrelenting commitment to the community and the incredible support of
its donors.
Hoag’s 2018-2019

This year marks the first that Hoag is nationally ranked in urology, as
well as high performing in cancer – a reflection of the resources
Hoag has invested in these areas, including the development of the Prostate
Cancer Active Surveillance Program and the expansion of clinical research
and trials.
“Hoag is on the forefront of preventative medicine,” said
Robert T. Braithwaite, Hoag president and CEO. “Having the most advanced treatments and technologies is rare for
a community hospital, but it fulfills our commitment to our patients,
and, with the support of our donor community, we continue to lead.”
Hoag was also declared the fourth-best hospital overall in the Los Angeles
metropolitan area, and the eighth in California. Hoag is the only Orange
County hospital ranked in the top 10 in the state.
“The recognition of Hoag as one of the state’s and nation’s
top hospitals speaks not only to our excellence in patient care but to
the compassion our entire medical staff,” Braithwaite said. “We
are honored to be the highest ranked hospital in Orange County, and are
steadfast in our promise to lead, innovate best serve the needs of our
community.”
