Broken bones and bad colds happen all over Orange County – but that
doesn’t mean you should have to drive all over the county for the
care you need.
Hoag is expanding its urgent care facilities into more communities to bring
you access to some of the best physicians, specialists and medical technology
right in your own neighborhood.
This past November, Hoag Urgent Care Aliso Viejo opened. In February, Hoag
will open an urgent care in the Hoag Health Center Irvine – Sand
Canyon, across the street from Hoag Hospital Irvine. And this spring,
Hoag will open yet another urgent care center, this one at the new Los
Olivos Marketplace in Irvine.
“Having urgent cares embedded in the community is an important piece
of the health care puzzle,” said Felix Horng, M.D., medical director,
Hoag Urgent Care. “Not all medical situations require an emergency
room visit, but some issues simply can’t wait until your primary
care doctor can see you. Urgent cares offer you a place to go to in your
own community to serve your non-emergency needs.”
By the end of 2016, Hoag will operate several urgent care facilities conveniently
located throughout Orange County, including in Anaheim Hills, Huntington
Beach, Huntington Harbour, Irvine, Newport Beach, and Tustin. Many are
located in shopping centers and other non-traditional locations to bring
health and wellness options to people where they live and work.
At the upcoming Hoag Urgent Care, managed by Hoag Medical Group, at Los
Olivos Marketplace in Irvine, for instance, primary care services will
be offered including health screenings, annual exams and vaccinations,
as well as treatment for colds, flu symptoms, fractures and other urgent
care services for non-emergency conditions during the week with extended
hours and on the weekends. So if you over-extend yourself at yoga, you
can pop in next door to see a Hoag Medical Group doctor.
“We’re trying to improve access for patients in a manner that
is a win-win – better service conveniently located near their home
or office,” Dr. Horng said.
Most Hoag Urgent Care facilities are open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8
p.m. and on weekends from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
