Peripheral Arterial Disease: Let's Start Walking
Join us for a presentation on peripheral arterial disease (PAD), and who may be at an increased risk for PAD. Those at a higher risk include seniors 65 and older, smokers, diabetics and individuals who experience leg pain while walking. The class will also feature a demonstration of an Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) screening - a screening that helps determine the severity of PAD by measuring the blood pressure in your arm, compared to the blood pressure in your ankle.

Insomnia Program

The Judy & Richard Voltmer Sleep Center is offering a program to treat insomnia. The course is designed to break the pattern of insomnia through cognitive-behavioral therapy and teach participants coping techniques to alleviate their insomnia and improve quality of life. Benefits include increase total sleep time, reduce or eliminate sleep medication, weekly guidelines, feedback and support, as well as relaxation techniques. These courses meet for six weeks. The class date is the first class date for the six week series.

This event is for family members struggling with the stress inherent in the storm of addiction and early recovery. The disease of addiction affects everyone in the family, often with great intensity. While recovery from addiction is an individual challenge, a family's response and collective path toward healing have a powerful effect on each individual's recovery process.
