In Huntington Beach, Hoag Proves that Spring is a Time to Grow

At Hoag, we are leading the charge in changing the way hospitals deliver care by expanding our reach to make health care more accessible for all of Orange County.

In Huntington Beach, Hoag doubled the size of the Hoag Health Center Huntington Beach this spring, to encompass a 100,000-square-foot facility that better serves the beach city’s residents with a growing number of physicians, nurses and other health care professionals who join the physicians you have come to know and trust over the years.

The new state-of-the-art facility expands the center’s offerings, providing Huntington Beach residents with numerous additional services and access to Hoag Medical Group primary care physicians and pediatricians, as well as an urgent care center, breast diagnostics, and heart and vascular services. The new facility also provides the capacity to add more services in the coming years to meet the needs of the Huntington Beach community.

The idea is to provide a “one-stop-shop” for health care, a design that offers both convenience and an enhanced continuity of care and communication among specialists to help people take better control of their health.

Residents can receive care from Hoag-affiliated physicians in primary care and numerous specialties, including gastroenterology, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, oncology, pulmonology and rheumatology. Residents also have convenient access to the Hoag Imaging Center, as well as breast imaging, laboratory andpharmaceutical services.

Women's health also represents a significant component of the three-story health ecnter. The facility now offers a diagnostic breast center, with 3-D mammography and other technologies previously available only at the main campus in Newport Beach.

The very flow of the interior space of the Hoag Health Center Huntington Beach is designed to provide a unique patient-centric experience and foster collaboration among doctors, nurses, patients and their families, with the goal of enhancing both treatment and long-term outcomes.

Even the sustainable materials used in the buidling speak to our commitment to a healthy community. Hoag Health Center Huntington Beach is expected to be the first health care building in the city to receive a LEED certification. Our new design includes bicycle storage and fuel-efficient vehicle parking areas, as well as energy-saving LED lighting and rain water-irrigated landscaping.

That is why we were so excited to throw open the doors to the expanded Hoag Health Center Huntington Beach – and to fulfill our goal of bringing high quality health care to the community. Where they live.
