World-Class Care at Hoag Irvine

Irvine is one of the most desirable addresses in the country. With beautiful parks, homes and top-tier schools, it naturally follows that Irvine would also demand the very best that health care has to offer.

That is why for the last five years Hoag Hospital Irvine has been growing along with the city, bringing renowned health and wellness services to this community.

And over the next year, we will add even more facilities, more services and more access to high-quality care – to ensure that those who live and work in Irvine have expert physicians and health partners to help keep them healthy.

In spring 2016, Hoag Health Center Irvine – Sand Canyon will open to provide a wide array of specialized high-quality health care services that complement Hoag Hospital Irvine’s acute care. This includes outpatient surgery, specialty care, women’s services, a full service imaging center, cancer center, urgent care, lab and pharmacy.

These developments are a continuation of the work Hoag has done with the city, bringing superior care right to Irvine’s doorstep including:
  • Hoag Hospital Irvine, celebrating its five-year anniversary this September, joined Hoag Hospital Newport Beach as a designated Cardiovascular Receiving Center (CVRC), awarded by the Orange County Emergency Medical Services (OCEMS).
  • Hoag Orthopedic Institute, observing its own five-year anniversary this November, is acclaimed for combining one of the most highly specialized, Board Certified teams of orthopedic physicians with Hoag’s expertise and resources – nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Report for orthopedic care.
  • Hoag Infusion Center in Irvine began offering residents and community members critical services for cancer and non-cancer treatments.
  • Two Irvine Hoag Urgent Care locations have been providing after-hours and weekend services to meet the community’s growing needs.
With each groundbreaking and grand opening, Hoag has collaborated closely with the community, building a patient-centric model of health care for the city.

Working with Hoag’s institute leaders and an advisory committee of Irvine community stakeholders, Hoag has been able to bring residents exactly what they identified as their most pressing health care needs.

For instance, the Hoag Irvine Emergency Department will begin an expansion project to better serve the needs of this growing community in light of increasing patient demand for emergency medicine over the past five years since the hospital opened in 2010.

All of Hoag’s Irvine programs are spearheaded by physician leaders who believe in streamlined services and the housing of related services and sub-specialties under one roof. These health care leaders have helped shape the landscape of care in Irvine, creating care that is closer to home with an emphasis on prevention, compassion and community.

Because a world-class city like Irvine deserves the world-class care of Hoag.
