Sovereign Healthcare Employee Recognition Program

Our partners at Sovereign Healthcare have established an employee recognition program to acknowledge employees who have provided exceptional levels of service. The program marks the achievements and contributions of the many employees who have extended their efforts beyond the day-to-day performance of their duties which contributes to the success of the organization. You are invited to be part of the recognition program by nominating a Sovereign Healthcare employee whose efforts, contributions, or achievements have been outstanding.

The S.T.A.R. Award

The S.T.A.R. (Sovereign Thanks, Appreciation & Recognition) Award is a quarterly award presented to a Sovereign employee who has displayed exceptional levels of service.

Examples that may result in an employee being nominated may include but
are not limited to:

  • Excellent customer service
  • Consistent delivery of a high quality of service
  • Innovation and creativity
  • Improvement of services and/or processes with significant input to the organization.

Nominations

Who can nominate a Sovereign employee for the S.T.A.R. Award?

Anyone can submit a nomination for the S.T.A.R. Award.

Who is eligible to receive a S.T.A.R. Award?

Any Sovereign employee is eligible to receive a S.T.A.R. Award. This includes operational and clinical staff at all Sovereign Healthcare facilities, like North Valley Surgery Center.

Why should I nominate someone for the S.T.A.R. Award?

The selection criteria for the S.T.A.R. Award are a set of standards linked to Sovereign Healthcare vision and values. Award nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • The nominee has provided outstanding service
  • The nominee has had a positive impact on you and/or your family

Will the nominee know who nominated them?

To ensure confidentiality, the nominee will not be advised by the Recognition Committee who has nominated them for the award. However, it will be at your discretion as to whether you inform the nominee you have lodged a nomination.

Who decides who receives the S.T.A.R. Award?

The Committee consists of a mix of managers, team leaders, and supervisors. The Recognition Committee assesses and evaluates all S.T.A.R. Award nominations against selected criteria.

The Recognition Committee then provides a recommendation to the Chief Executive who makes the final decision on who will receive the S.T.A.R. Award.
