What is Electrophysiology?
Electrophysiology entails the diagnosis and treatment of
cardiac arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats). An Electrophysiologist (EP) specializes in the
care of heart rhythms. An EP has completed all of the training of a cardiologist,
followed by extensive fellowship training in the field of electrophysiology.
This additional experience and training makes them highly qualified in
the management of typical to highly complex heart rhythm disorders.
