Clinical Expertise:
Ana has experience providing crisis management, case management, psychotherapy and psychoeducation to all age groups in group, family and individual modalities in both English and Spanish. Most recently, she worked with children and adolescents who faced an array of mental health issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety and behavioral issues.
Ana joined the Diabetes Center to provide case management, interventions, psychoeducation and resources to patients who may be dealing with psychosocial issues that are impacting their health and daily functioning. By providing a link to services, she hopes to help patients achieve personal goals regarding stress management, mental/behavioral health, and development of coping skills to manage diabetes stress. Ana has an interest in spreading awareness and education regarding the strong impact mental well-being can have on physical health and bridging the gap between health and mental health care for a more collaborative treatment.
