About Dr. Malhotra
Dr. Malhotra is a board certified hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgical oncologist. A California native, he completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of California, Berkeley, before moving to the Midwest to complete his medical and doctorate degrees at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where he also completed his general surgery training. He returned to California and completed his subspecialty training in complex surgical oncology. Through his training, Dr. Malhotra developed a special interest in minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Dr. Malhotra values the importance of research and is actively engaged in innovative research with a focus on early detection of pancreatic cancer and novel treatments for colorectal liver cancers. He has presented his work at national and international conferences and received numerous awards for his research and clinical excellence.
Dr. Malhotra stays up to date on the latest medical advancements from the medical community for the benefit of his patients. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Society of Surgical Oncology, and The Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.
Dr. Malhotra is focused on the treatment of both cancerous and non-cancerous tumors of the liver, biliary system and pancreas.
In his spare time, Dr. Malhotra enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, tennis and traveling abroad.
