Center invites the community to learn more about diabetes and how to take
steps to fight the disease during a series of complimentary events.
Topic: The Importance of Prevention & Nutrition
Details: Dr. Daniel Nadeau will speak about Diabetes prevention and the
importance of nutrition. Guests will have the opportunity to take a tour
of the Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center as well.

Details: Navigating a grocery store can be tricky, but if you know what
to look for and understand labels it can make managing and preventing
diabetes easier. The Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center and Vons invite
you to take a trip to the grocery store with us to learn useful tips and
make your shopping experience easier and healthier.

Topic: Nutrition Discussion and Thanksgiving Cooking Demonstration
Details: Diabetes Month is the perfect time to give thanks and learn how
to prepare a diabetes friendly Thanksgiving meal that your entire family
and friends will enjoy! The Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center will
offer a free cooking demonstration and talk on nutrition to help guests
plan for the holiday.
