Andrew Guarni

Andrew Guarni is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Hoag. In this role, Mr. Guarni oversees all hospital accounting, including general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and treasury for Hoag. He is responsible for the finance and accounting, supply chain, materials management, revenue cycle, risk management, health information management and contracting.
Throughout his 31 year career in healthcare finance and administration, Mr. Guarni’s experience includes tax exempt and asset based financing, hospital consolidation and closure, M&A (hospital and physician practice), turnarounds, revenue cycle enhancement, physician practice management, fundraising, strategic planning and asset purchase agreements.
Mr. Guarni has served as chief financial officer for integrated delivery systems with $1 billion in annual net revenues. He has led revenue cycle improvements which have tripled daily cash collections and reduced Days in AR to AA benchmark levels. He has also led hospital system and physician practice acquisitions from initial discussions to post acquisition integration, including the recent acquisition of the largest provider of Emergency Room Management services in Los Angeles County by a Northern California company.
Mr. Guarni has a Bachelor of Science from West Chester University in Pennsylvania, is a Certified Public Accountant, and a fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
