5 Cardiologists on the Move


Below are five cardiologists who recently joined new practices, stepped into new roles or retired.

Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, Calif., welcomed cardiothoracic surgeon Timothy Lee, MD, to the Jeffrey M. Carlton Heart & Vascular Institute Oct. 4.

Dimitrios Karmpaliotis, MD, was named ​​medical director of the cardiovascular rescue and recovery program and medical director of the advanced coronary therapeutics and chronic total occlusions program at Atlantic Health System in Morristown, N.J. 

Atlantic Health System also named Amirali Masoumi, MD, medical director of cardiac critical care and medical and interventional director of its cardiogenic shock and mechanical support program.

Nuvance Health, a seven-hospital system with locations in New York and Connecticut, welcomed Kashif Ather, MD, to its medical staff at The Heart Center in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

Interventional cardiologist John Cedarholm, MD, joined the medical staff at Lake Norman Medical Group, Heart and Vascular Mooresville (N.C.).
