Women’s Choice Award® 2018 has named Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Heart Care and Obstetrics. This is the fifth consecutive year Hoag has received an award in the category.
The award identifies the country’s best health care institutions based on patient satisfaction and clinical excellence. According to Hoag it is in the top 9 percent of 4,812 U.S. hospitals offering heart care services and in the top 17 percent of 2,720 U.S. hospitals offering obstetrics.

The America’s Best Hospitals scoring process is unique in that it combines national accreditations, Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey results and hospital outcome scores with primary research about women’s healthcare preferences.
