Crystal has been exposed to and affected by alcoholism and addiction throughout her life. Her professional career started in 1985 when she joined the USAF. In March of 1993, Crystal’s tour of duty serving as a Law Enforcement Officer was complete and she became a proud veteran. Her dream has always been to help people, so she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice as well as a vocational training in Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counseling in 1996. The education and professional training Crystal received not only changed her career path but completely changed her life. Crystal is a Member of The National Association for Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselors, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II and a member of California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals. Crystal says: “It is an honor to advocate help and hope for a growing community. My experience has given me so many opportunities to learn and grow closer to a community geared towards wellness. I enjoy Writing, Music and Art therapy, riding my bike and playing with my puppies. I value being a sister of 5 siblings, auntie to all my nieces and nephews, friend, counselor & co-worker. I am privileged to work with for a hospital that offers exceptional healthcare.”
