Alicia Saez-Betancourt, A.C.S.W., is an Associate Clinical Social Worker. Alicia is originally from Santiago, Chile. She earned her Master of Social Work from California State Long Beach in 2007, and her thesis “The Meaning of Being Incarcerated on a Domestic Violence Charge and its Impact on Self and Family among Latino Immigrant Batterers” has been published in the Journal of Ethnic & Cultural Diversity in Social Work. Alicia began working at Hoag in 2006. Alicia is a certified MSW Field Instructor and a certified Batterers Intervention Facilitator. Alicia is also trained in TF-CBT and is a Certified Level One Personality Dimensions® Facilitator. Alicia provides services in Spanish to children, adolescent, adults, couples and families. Through the years of practice, she has developed a special interest in helping Latino immigrant women, to reach an enhanced level of self-worth, confidence and competence. She has provided women 50 years and older, with the opportunity to have a common space for weekly socialization, and together to continue with personal growth.
