Non-Invasive Elimination of Liver Tumors
Hoag is excited to be one of only two hospitals in California to offer Histotripsy by HistoSonics®. Histotripsy is a non-invasive, ultrasound technology that is used to eliminate targeted liver tumors at a sub-cellular level. The technology uses high amplitude, very short pulses to create a “bubble cloud.”
FibroScan Non-Invasive Diagnostic Tool
Hoag is the only hospital in Orange County to offer a state-of-the-art, non-invasive technology for liver screening called FibroScan®, the first device to be FDA-approved for diagnosing and managing patients with liver disease without the side effects or complications of a needle biopsy.

Advanced Endoscopy

One such example is the endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), which uses a special endoscope with a built-in miniature ultrasound probe. This technology provides your doctor with more information than other imaging tests by providing detailed images of your liver.
