Hoag Hospital Newport Beach is an acute care, nonprofit hospital located
on California's Orange County coastline between Los Angeles and San
Diego in Newport Beach.
Hoag offers a comprehensive mix of health care services including institutes
specializing in care for cancer, heart and vascular, neurosciences and
women’s health, and orthopedics through Hoag’s affiliate,
Hoag Orthopedic Institute.

General Information
The Information Desk is located inside the main entrance. Attendants are
available to assist with room direction and other information.
Patient Billing
A customer service representative is available to answer specific financial
questions or to receive a payment Monday through Friday in the lobby of
the Women's Pavilion. Telephones/Cellular phones and pagers may be
used in the hospital except in the critical care areas (ICU, CCU, CVICU
and Sub ICU).
Smoking
Hoag is a smoke-free campus. No smoking is allowed.
Automatic Teller Machines (ATM's)
ATM's are available in the convenience center in the cafeteria.
US Mail Drops
US Mail drop boxes and stamp machines are located at the main entrance
of the hospital and in the convenience center in the cafeteria.
Concerns or Questions
If there is a concern regarding patient care, please notify the caregiver
or a supervisor. Patient Relations representatives can assist with patient
rights, problems or concerns, interpretation of hospital policy and procedure,
or lost items. The Patient Relations staff is available from 8:30 a.m.
to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at
949-764-8220. If you need immediate assistance after regular business hours, contact
the charge nurse or nurse supervisor. They can be reached by calling the
hospital operator at
949-764-HOAG (4624).

This visitor information area provides information to help you and those
close to you during a hospital stay. We understand the importance of visitors
for our patients' emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. Family,
friends and clergy may visit during the hours listed below. Please be
advised, visitors may be asked by staff to leave, especially if a patient
needs rest. Any visitor with symptoms or signs of a communicable illness
or disease should not visit the hospital. Also, due to infection control
guidelines, children under a certain age may not visit specific areas,
as indicated below.

General Medical/Surgical Units
Mother/Baby Unit
Labor and Delivery Unit
- To provide an environment where the patient can be supported by family
members during their hospitalization yet allow medical staff to provide
the highest level of care, visitors will be allowed in LDR based upon
the patient’s condition and at the discretion of the attending physician/nurse
in consultation with the patient.
- Additional visitors are welcome to wait in the family lounge area, which
is located on the LDR unit.
Neonatal Intesnive Care Unit
- Parents are welcome from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
- Visitors and siblings of the newborn under 16 years old may visit from
9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., but must be accompanied by one parent. (There
is a limit of two persons at a time).
Critical Care (ICU/CCU/CVICU/Sub ICU)
- Visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Lounges
There are several lounges throughout Hoag Hospital Newport Beach, CA. Please
see the floor map to find an appropriate lounge. Family and friends of
those having surgery may want to stay in the surgery lounge located next
to the Courtyard Café on the first floor of the main hospital.
The Gift Box features an array of specialty items including cards, magazines,
clothing, fresh flowers and snacks. The Gift Box is located on the Lobby
Level of the Sue and Bill Gross Women's Pavilion.

There are several nearby hotels and short-term lodging facilities in Newport
Beach and Irvine. Family members of patients at Hoag can also receive
a special rate at some of the local hotels.
