    Our vision is to be the safest hospital to deliver your baby. While we hope that all deliveries are routine, our state-of-the-art maternity hospitals are prepared for the highest risk situations for both maternal and newborn conditions. Hoag is prepared with 24/7 multidisciplinary expert care including board-certified OB hospitalists, critical care specialists, maternal fetal medicine physicians and anesthesiologists. We have a Level IIIa neonatal intensive care unit in Newport Beach and Special Care Nursery in Irvine. In addition, Hoag has an OB triage and OB emergency department that is staffed 24/7 by OB hospitalists and high-risk nursing staff who care for pregnant patients from 16 weeks through 42 weeks.

Our exceptional birthing center was specifically designed to create a first-class experience for all patients and their families. Each labor, delivery and recovery room and Mother Baby postpartum room offers a private bathroom and shower, sleeper couch, rocking chair, in-room health education and meal service.
