    OB Providers and Specialist Team

    Whether a pregnancy is known to be high-risk or complications arise unexpectedly, Hoag’s Newport Beach and Irvine hospitals are prepared to provide specialized care for mothers and babies. Our coordinated teams include Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists available 24/7, OB hospitalists, neonatologists, dedicated anesthesiologists and Magnet-designated nurses.

    Both campuses offer dedicated Obstetric Emergency Departments (OB EDs) for the evaluation and treatment of urgent pregnancy-related concerns, providing direct access to clinicians experienced in obstetric emergencies.

    Our Newport Beach hospital and, beginning September 21, 2026, our Irvine Women’s Hospital, offer Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) to provide advanced care for premature, critically ill, and medically complex newborns.
