Lynn Whang

Dr. Whang's journey to medicine was shaped by both curiosity and connection. Although she initially pursued clinical laboratory science, she soon realized she wanted a career that extended beyond the laboratory and allowed her to connect with patients on a more personal level. Experiences as an EMT and emergency department scribe, along with the example set by her parents, inspired her to become a physician dedicated to improving the lives of others.

Drawn to the opportunity to build lasting partnerships with her patients, Dr. Whang chose internal medicine because it allows her to provide comprehensive care throughout every stage of life. From preventive care and chronic disease management to identifying new health concerns early, she values serving as a trusted partner and advocate throughout her patients' healthcare journeys.

Dr. Whang's patient care philosophy centers on a patient-first approach grounded in shared decision-making, education, and advocacy. She believes that caring for the whole person enables primary care physicians not only to coordinate care but also to improve long-term health outcomes. One word she uses to describe herself is integrity, reflecting her commitment to providing thoughtful, honest, and compassionate care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Whang enjoys spending time with her partner and their two cats. She also loves crocheting, knitting, gardening, traveling, exploring new hobbies, and embracing new experiences that foster both personal growth and lifelong learning.
