Pelvic Health for Women
Women’s Pelvic Floor Conditions We Treat
Pelvic health can affect every aspect of your life – and sometimes life affects your pelvic health. Childbirth, aging, infection and trauma can lead to pelvic health issues for women. Hoag’s Pelvic Health Program treats the conditions that contribute to your overall well being.

Bladder incontinence and bladder dysfunction. Overactive bladder, urgency, frequency and incontinence can impact a person’s day to day activities.
Bowel incontinence and bowel dysfunction. Loss of control of pelvic floor muscles can lead to bowel incontinence or dysfunction, debilitating issues that can have profound consequences on a person’s quality of life.
Painful bladder syndrome. Interstitial cystitis, or painful bladder syndrome, causes long-term pain or discomfort in your bladder and abdominal area, along with urinary frequency and urgency.
Pregnancy related pain. Low back, pelvic, and pubic pain are frequent symptoms but can be managed through physical therapy.
Postpartum recovery. Whether vaginal or c-section delivery, the pelvic and abdominal region is impacted and may bring on symptoms of pain, bladder, bowel, or sexual dysfunction.
Sexual dysfunction. From pregnancy and delivery, cancer treatment to menopause symptoms can arise across the life span and impact a person’s quality of life.
Painful intercourse (dyspareunia)
Pelvic organ prolapse, including rectal prolapse, prolapse of the bladder (cystocele), uterine prolapse and vaginal prolapse. Dropping of pelvic organs can occur across the lifespan with physical therapy usually being a first line treatment.
Cancer-related conditions, such as symptoms from pelvic radiation, painful intercourse or UI following breast cancer treatments
