Yoon Kyung Lee

Inspired by her father, a dedicated general surgeon, Dr. Lee discovered early on that medicine combines both skill and compassion. This example motivated her to pursue a career focused on making a meaningful difference in patients’ lives.

Dr. Lee is motivated by the privilege of guiding patients through vulnerable moments, whether performing life-changing surgeries or offering reassurance during tough times. She chose general surgery for its unique mix of technical challenge and the chance to build meaningful relationships with patients. Dr. Lee’s natural curiosity fuels her ongoing dedication to learning and excellence.

Her care philosophy centers on surgical precision paired with genuine empathy. She treats every patient as she would her own family—with respect, transparency, and unwavering steadfast dedication.

Dr. Lee earned her medical degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine and completed her general surgery residency at Houston Methodist in Houston, Texas.

When she’s not in the operating room, Dr. Lee enjoys recharging by spending time with her pets, playing golf, and snowboarding.
