About Dr Yen H. Tran
Bio
Dr. Yen H. Tran’s calling to medicine was inspired by watching her mother raise four young children with resilience, compassion, and strength. This experience shaped her deep commitment to caring for women with empathy, respect, and understanding.
She chose Obstetrics and Gynecology because it allows her to support women through some of the most important moments of their lives. Dr. Tran is known for her patient-centered approach, providing evidence-based care with kindness, cultural sensitivity, and attentiveness. Patients often share that they feel genuinely heard and supported under her care.
Dr. Tran specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including advanced da Vinci robotic techniques to treat endometriosis, ovarian cysts, fibroids, and other complex gynecologic conditions, while prioritizing fertility preservation whenever possible.
What truly sets Dr. Tran apart is her personal experience with infertility. After undergoing multiple IVF cycles herself before building her family, she brings a rare depth of understanding and compassion to patients facing fertility challenges. She offers comprehensive care that blends medical and surgical expertise with emotional support—from preconception through pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum care.
Dr. Tran earned her medical degree from ATSU – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She has cared for women in Orange County, California for over 12 years.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, cooking Vietnamese cuisine, baking, hiking local trails, and exploring beaches and parks. She is fluent in English and Vietnamese.
