About Dr Timothy V. Feldheim
Bio
Dr. Feldheim was drawn to medicine from an early age after being born with a rare blood disorder and experiencing firsthand the impact compassionate care can have on a patient’s life. That experience, combined with his interests in human physiology, teaching and service, ultimately inspired him to become a physician.
He chose to specialize in pain medicine because of the opportunity to improve care for patients with chronic pain, a population that has historically been overlooked and undertreated. He is passionate about the continued evolution of the field and the development of therapies that go beyond managing pain to help patients regain function and quality of life, especially neuromodulation and minimally invasive interventional therapies. He has a particular interest in caring for patients experiencing cancer-related pain, including those seeking palliative relief as well as cancer survivors managing the lasting effects of their disease and treatment.
His approach to patient care is grounded in respect, humility and attentiveness. He believes every patient should feel heard and cared for, understand their diagnosis and treatment options, and know they have someone advocating for them throughout their care.
Before entering medical school, Dr. Feldheim played and coached highschool football — an experience that continues to shape his interests outside of medicine. Today, he enjoys football, cooking, golf, skiing and ice hockey, but most of all, spending time with his family.
