Ryan S. Bedi

Dr. Ryan S. Bedi is a cardiothoracic surgeon at the Jeffrey M. Carlton Heart & Vascular Institute with a specialized focus in aortic and aortic root surgery. He treats the full spectrum of cardiovascular disease, including structural heart disease, coronary revascularization, and minimally invasive procedures for atrial fibrillation.

Dr. Bedi earned his BSc in Biology from the University of California, Riverside, graduating with honors. He then completed his MD at Hofstra University in New York, where he was inducted into the AOA Honor Medical Society. His surgical journey continued with general surgery training at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, where he received multiple teaching awards and was recognized for his leadership in surgery and surgical education. He later completed a highly specialized cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he developed advanced expertise in complex aortic surgery.

As a clinician, Dr. Bedi is deeply committed to patient-centered care. He takes the time to understand his patients’ concerns, ensuring that each person receives a tailored approach that reflects their unique needs. His compassionate and meticulous approach to medicine has earned him the trust of his patients and colleagues alike.

Beyond his surgical practice, Dr. Bedi cherishes time with his wife and family. When he’s not in the operating room, he enjoys cooking homemade pasta, hiking through the scenic trails of Southern California, and enjoying reruns of Seinfeld.
