Nicholas A. Rensing

Dr. Rensing’s path to medicine was shaped by personal experience. Early hospitalizations sparked a deep curiosity about the human body and the biological processes underlying his own care, ultimately leading him to pursue medicine as a second career. Along the way, he was supported by influential mentors, dedicated colleagues, and his wife, a nurse.

As a family medicine physician, Dr. Rensing is committed to building strong, collaborative relationships with his patients. He believes the best outcomes arise from informed and engaged patients and prioritizes clear communication by explaining the reasoning behind each medical decision, fostering trust and shared understanding.

Dr. Rensing is drawn to the breadth and continuity of primary care, valuing the opportunity to care for patients across all stages of life while developing meaningful, long-term connections. His approach integrates conventional primary care with principles of functional and osteopathic medicine, alongside an emphasis on nutrition and dietary supplementation. Outside of the office, Dr. Rensing enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children, often cheering them on at their activities. He maintains his own health through weightlifting, staying active, and pursuing continued learning in medicine and nutrition, guided by the belief that physicians who invest in their own well-being are better equipped to guide their patients.
