Linda Anh B. Nguyen

Dr. Nguyen discovered her calling in medicine at a young age, knowing early on that she wanted to become a physician. Her interest in the field was shaped by watching her grandfather and mother face gastrointestinal cancers, experiences that highlighted the profound connection between the gut, overall health, and quality of life. These experiences inspired her to approach medicine with a focus on treating the whole person.

Drawn to gastroenterology for its blend of hands-on procedures and intellectual challenge, Dr. Nguyen specializes in Neurogastroenterology and Motility. She describes her work as akin to solving a complex puzzle, carefully piecing together clues to understand and treat her patients’ digestive conditions. Her approach to patient care emphasizes hope, healing, and humility, ensuring that patients feel supported even when answers are not immediate.

A lifelong learner, Dr. Nguyen is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of physicians. Her own journey was guided by mentors during residency and fellowship, and she honors their guidance by providing coaching and support to others in the field. She also pursues clinical and translational research, turning daily patient challenges into practical investigations that can improve care for patients today.

Dr. Nguyen earned her medical degree from University of California, Los Angeles and completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship training at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Nguyen treasures time with her family, particularly family dinners, and enjoys outdoor activities in the sun. She also loves Hallmark Christmas movies, celebrating the joy of the season all year long.
