About Dr. Jonathan C. Houpt
Bio
Dr. Jonathan Houpt is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and joined the Hoag Medical Staff in 2008. He completed his undergraduate studies in pharmacology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and earned his medical degree from New York Medical College before completing a transitional internship at Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland and his Emergency Medicine residency at LAC + USC Medical Center.
Dr. Houpt's background includes significant administrative leadership, having served as Medical Director at St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco. He has also contributed to the field as a clinical instructor and ACLS instructor, helping to train the next generation of emergency providers. An active member of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), Dr. Houpt is committed to compassionate, evidence-based care.
