Jannelle J. Aquino

Dr. Jannelle Aquino is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and practices emergency medicine in Orange County. She is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and has been on the medical staff at Hoag Hospital Newport Beach since 2021. Dr. Aquino completed her residency training in Emergency Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. She earned her medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences and completed her undergraduate studies at Brown University. She has also contributed to academic research through work published during her time at Johns Hopkins. At Hoag, Dr. Aquino is recognized for delivering efficient, high-quality care in a fast-paced clinical environment. She is actively involved in departmental initiatives that support clinical operations and physician scheduling, contributing to workflow optimization and continuity of care. Her clinical interests include critical care management and the application of evidence-based medicine, with a strong emphasis on patient experience and safety. Dr. Aquino values a collaborative, team-based approach and works closely with physicians, nurses, and staff to foster a cohesive and high-performing care environment. She is dedicated to serving the Orange County community with compassion, precision, and clinical excellence. Outside of medicine, Dr. Aquino enjoys spending time with her family and golden retriever, traveling to experience new cultures, and exploring culinary destinations. She maintains an active, wellness-focused lifestyle and enjoys coastal cycling, Pilates, and yoga, as well as floral design.
