About Dr. James M. Shen
Bio
Dr. James Shen is a board-certified emergency physician who joined the Hoag Medical Staff in 2010. He earned his undergraduate degree from UC San Diego and his medical degree from University College Dublin in Ireland before completing his Emergency Medicine residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, where he distinguished himself as Chief Resident.
Dr. Shen currently serves on the Finance Committee and acts as the RCM and IDR lead. A member of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and recipient of the Marianne Cinat Heroes with Heart award, Dr. Shen is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based emergency care to the community.
