Bio
Dr. Gooing is a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician specializing in pain medicine who is passionate about helping patients move better, feel better and return to the activities that matter most to them.
Drawn to medicine by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in his community, Dr. Gooing chose physical medicine and rehabilitation because of his interest in anatomy and musculoskeletal medicine and the specialty’s focus on restoring function and independence. He later pursued fellowship training in pain medicine to expand his expertise in musculoskeletal care and advanced interventional procedures.
Dr. Gooing takes a collaborative, individualized approach to care. He believes understanding how pain affects each patient’s daily life, and what they hope to get back to doing, is essential to developing an effective treatment plan. He takes time to listen, explain treatment options and involve patients in decisions about their care.
Describing himself as down-to-earth, Dr. Gooing strives to ensure patients feel comfortable, heard, and supported. He finds it especially rewarding to care for patients over time and help them make meaningful progress toward their goals.
Outside of work, Dr. Gooing enjoys spending time with his wife and twin daughters, biking, running, and spoiling his two dogs.
