Homayon Iraninezhad

Homayon Iraninezhad, DO, known to his patients as “Dr. I,” is a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist who is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He provides comprehensive care for a wide range of digestive conditions, including liver and hepatobiliary disorders, cirrhosis, functional and motility disorders, celiac disease, pancreatic conditions, gastrointestinal bleeding, colon polyps and colorectal cancer.

Dr. Iraninezhad earned undergraduate degrees in chemistry and biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine, where his studies included a focus on Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. He received his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona and completed his internal medicine residency at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas. He then completed a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of North Texas in Fort Worth.

Throughout his medical training, Dr. Iraninezhad was recognized for his clinical leadership, teaching and compassionate care. His honors have included Intern of the Year, Resident of the Year, Chief Resident, Fellow of the Year and Chief Fellow. He also received the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award.

Dr. Iraninezhad is passionate about medical education and has taught medical students, internal medicine residents and gastroenterology fellows. From 2020 to 2024, he held several leadership positions at MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas, including chair of internal medicine and president and chief of staff.

Dr. Iraninezhad believes in continually striving to improve and providing each patient with thoughtful, compassionate and individualized care. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing competitive pickleball.
