Heather A. DeHaan

Dr. DeHaan is a board-certified family medicine physician specializing in integrative and functional medicine. From an early age, she knew she wanted to become a physician, but it was watching her older sister struggle with a chronic illness of an unknown cause that solidified her calling. The experience inspired her to practice medicine differently by listening deeply, understanding the whole person, and helping patients uncover the root causes of their health concerns.

During her service as an active-duty physician in the United States Navy, Dr. DeHaan saw firsthand how nutrition, sleep, movement, and stress management influence health and well-being. Those experiences strengthened her passion for integrative and functional medicine and continue to shape her approach to caring for patients. Her clinical interests include mental health, women's health, including preconception and perimenopause, adolescent health, and lifestyle medicine.

Dr. DeHaan believes every patient deserves to feel seen, heard, and understood. She takes time to learn each person's story and goals before creating an individualized plan that supports lasting health and wellness through a collaborative, patient-centered approach.

Outside of the office, Dr. DeHaan enjoys hot yoga, beach volleyball, gardening, cooking with seasonal ingredients, painting, writing, dancing, and spending time with her goldendoodle.
