David J. Weiland

Dr. David Weiland is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and has been a member of the Hoag Medical Staff since 2023. He completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA and earned his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine before completing a General Surgery internship at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine/UCLA Medical Center and his Emergency Medicine residency at the MetroHealth/Cleveland Clinic/Case Western Reserve University program.

Dr. Weiland is active in hospital leadership as a member of the Hoag Hospital Readmissions Reduction Committee. His background also includes serving as a Flight Physician for MetroHealth Life Flight and as a Resident Leader for the MetroHealth Quality Improvement Committee. A member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the American College of Emergency Physicians, Dr. Weiland is committed to providing rigorous, compassionate emergency care to his patients.
