David E. Christy

Dr. David Christy is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and has been a member of the Hoag Medical Staff since 1998. He completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA, graduating summa cum laude, and earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Christy went on to complete a four-year Emergency Medicine residency at Highland General Hospital/UCSF, where he received the Pat Connell Outstanding Resident Award.

A leader in diagnostic imaging, Dr. Christy developed and continues to oversee the emergency physician ultrasound program at Hoag. His dedication to clinical excellence has been recognized with multiple Physician of the Quarter honors and the inaugural Hoag Doctor of the Month award. A member of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), Dr. Christy brings decades of expertise and innovation to emergency care at Hoag.
